Notes: The Stone

[The writing of these notes seems particularly messy at first, almost as though one was writing blindly. Luckily, it appears the 'translation' was later written underneath the scribbles in a much more legible script.]




The Stone

* Flashing at irregular intervals

- unsure how long it's been happening, about a day, maybe more

* Was kept in a drawer
* Nothing particularly 'felt'

Attempt to look into the In-Between at it

* Small tendrils from the Stone

- like tethers
- connect to Rahvin, Donari, and Calvin
- One leads far off east; may be to Selda

* Theory

- They all touched the stone.
- Thus perhaps it connected to them upon its contact.

* Asked if I could 'cut' the tether

- This could be quite dangerous
- Especially considering the power involved

* Tether points

- seem to be attached to the magical core of someone, their soul, or center
- same case in all seen.

* Theories

- It may be siphoning from them.
- It may be draining them of magic and life force.
- It may be connected in a sort of 'stabilizing measure'
- It may be connected in order to aid them somehow.

- Note: The tethers are definitely, however, draining from them; unless it is 'helping' them somehow in a way they are unaware and the draining is the 'price', the last thought is doubtful.
