[These notes are written somewhat messier than most of the others in the book. They seem to be taken quickly, the writing itself varying as though more was added to what was already there at a later time, in a different mindset. Most of it looks hasty, and some are rather sporadic and unclear. Still, the flourish to the occasional letter remains, though likely out of habit.]

Notes on Phooka's Disappearance

Met with Charr
- Ruckus
- Grima

Found
- silk and jewlery where Phooka was.
- don't know who they came off of.
- came off right before he went down.
- Phooka was within a small cavern crevasse. Ghosts surrounded him, though it seemed there was a device that kept them back.

Phooka
- Told Grima to leave when she escorted him to the place, that he could handle himself alone.
- found with a broken arm
- brought to a mender in the Grove : Suinidos. He said he would contact us with any updates on his Phooka's status.
- was not affected by the plague, but someone tried to put it in him.
- They failed
- it left magical residue, affecting him mentally
- Dreamers: said he felt suffocated and restricted. Having terrors, screaming, concerned for someone's safety. Claimed there was an oily shadow. Note: When I had inspected the afflicted waters, there was also an 'oily taste' from the magic / siphoning I picked up on.
- Was not Nightmare
- Mentioned someone being safe.
- Seemed relieved to see us when he was awake before being brought to the Grove.
- Took some kind of elixir.
- Seemed delirious at times.

Theory
- Chaos energy is involved in the plague, or at least in what is ailing Phooka
- Phooka went on his own to investigate
- Phooka may have been coersed by: the person who wore the dropped items / someone coersing them the person who dropped the items.
- Possible that Phooka's memories, and what he was babbling about were not his own; his mind may have been manipulated in any number of ways, if mesmeric magic was at hand.
- Syrlya claims he can, I believe, locate and 'track' the source of chaos magic, if it is present. It sounds, though, like he may be considering being afflicted with the plague in order to do this, though I am not certain. I know that.. if chaos magic were present, and I were to look for it, I could likely detect it without being afflicted.. however, I am unsure how to track from it. I am drawn by the Chaos, in many of its different forms; while I can tell the difference when it is used, it's unlikely I can parse its pull. [blot] It is also possible, if it were there, that it may react to my own Chaos, and I am worried about this, if it were so.
